I recently completed a 11-day foiling camp with Ocean Addicts Lombok, and I couldn’t be happier with the experience. I spent 10 days trying tow-in, prone, and e-foiling, and while my initial goal was to learn prone foiling, I found that I enjoyed the tow-in sessions even more. The ability to foil constantly rather than waiting for waves was a highlight.
The entire team was outstanding. John is a true legend; it was a privilege to try such a variety of equipment, from monofoils to his own custom reshaped wings. I also thoroughly enjoyed the prone foiling sessions with Rudi, whose surfing expertise is clearly second nature. Additionally, Harry’s smooth navigation during our tow-in sessions ensured we were always in the right spots.
Kuta Lombok and Ocean Addicts are truly hidden gems. I was initially worried about not having my own gear, but the shop has a complete portfolio of AXIS wings to suit every need. I have progressed significantly as a rider and will definitely be coming back.
